I started blogging on February 2, 2007.  I hope that I won’t stop on February 3, 2007 when I figure out that I don’t know what I’m doing.  So bear with me, please.  I live in middle Tennessee with my husband and six-year old daughter (well, six in three weeks). I am expecting my son to be born near the end of May.  We plan to name him Caden Patrick and will call him “Cade”.  Do not steal that name.  My daughter is Emma and she is a super genius.  That is, when she’s not having a temper tantrum or when she’s sleeping.  She dreams in color.  Does that make you a genius?

I graduated from MTSU with a bachelor’s degree in child development and family services, only to find out that all the warm, fuzzy stuff they teach is a myth.  In my family, my husband and I have found that the learn-as-you-go method is superior.

I am very close to my Mom, also a learn-as-you-go situation, especially regarding family dynamics.  My relationship with the MIL is okay right now.  Keep your fingers and toes crossed that it continues.  I’m happy with “okay.”  Okey-dokey.  More later.
